Makako almond originates from Spain and is an ideal self-fertile variety for regions with a continental climate. It has excellent compatibility with clonal rootstocks and can also be cultivated in arid lands.

This variety has a kernel yield of 33% and a kernel weight of 1.2 grams. The twin kernel rate is zero, meaning it does not produce double kernels. The kernel color is white and highly attractive. Makako almond belongs to the hard-shell almond group, has an elliptical fruit shape, and is highly suitable for mechanical harvesting.
